My Personal Minion allows you to perform a variety of functions with voice commands.
Originally designed for use with media centers, it evolved to get a few extra features beyond media control which has allowed it to be quite useful for standard desktop computers too!
The features include:
- Media Control (play, pause, next track, etc)
- Application and file opening
- Keyboard Macro's (recording and replaying a sequence of key presses)
- RSS News Feed reader which will read you the latest news from your favourite websites
- Shutdown and reboot commands
- Access level control (to help prevent incorrect recognition of certain commands)
- Fully extendable through the use of the SDK to allow the more ambitious users to create their own commands (coming in a future update)
- More commands may be added over time and will be accessible from the downloads page
The community is also encouraged to share their own plugins via the forums.
